I checked into the use of a capital I mid sentence and found there is no grammatical reason for doing so.
If we capitilize the word I why do we not do it with other Pronouns.
Eg.
Personal pronouns in standard Modern English  Singular Plural
 
First. I me myself we us ourselves
Second .you you yourself you you yourselves
Third. Masculine he him himself they them themselves
Feminine. she her herself
Neuter. it it itself
Yammas
Yannis

I hope this is not a devious plot to keep me off the subject that deserves  capitals THE ROMANZA HOTEL.

Did you too notice the Americanisation of the English language - "we capitilize the" - The curse of the Microsoft spell-check.
