Thomas Cook (shocking)

Hi everybody,

It's been a while since I've been on, so I thought I would have a good old Victor Meldrew moan about Thomas Cook.  My wife and I booked way back in October, for 2 weeks, 18th June staying at the Mythos apartments.  Or so we thought!  I received a phone call today from the local Thomas Cook branch to inform me that "the hotelier is unable to honour your reservation".  So in their wisdom, without my blessing, they decided to book me into the Kokinos apartments in Arillas.

Well I visted the local office and told them in no uncertain terms that I thought their actions or lack of them was disgusting.  I asked all the relevant questions, why? how? etc; but they were totally indifferent to my dilemma and put the blame firmly with the owners of the Mythos apartments.  Now I stayed at these apartments last year and I recall other holiday makers having similar problems.  Why are Thomas Cook giving these people any business?  They honestly did not seem to be interested in resolving my problem and I ended up sitting going through various options available.  After this holiday I will not touch Thomas Cook again!

To conclude, I changed dates and my wife and I are staying for two weeks at the Vicky apartments starting 25th June.  Any feedback on these apartments would be helpful.

Stayed there a few years ago. Expensively updated since. Had a look and impressed. Handy for beach!

Things like this usually turn out for the best. You will still have a fantastic time and be more centrally situated as well. Being near the beach will also be a great bonus.

Echo all the others Vicky apartments are fab you can click on their webpage via www.corfuselections.com ,ag stef and vicky pool and then go into rooms to see inside apartments am sure you will have a wonderful time there in ag stef, just as a thought I did see the Mythos on another websire up for sale dont know if that has anything to do with it maybe?

Thanks for the feedfack everyone.  I know we will enjoy our stay, mainly because the resort is great.  Ijust feel awfully let down by both Thomas Cook AND the owners of the Mythos apartments.

There's a few of us on this site that have built up a lot of knowledge over the years of going there,
and some who now live there now, that may be more up to date, being local.
However, between us - we should be able to give a pretty good idea of what to expect,
and your new Apartments are better than the first booking for sure!!
Very well placed in the resort, close to everything and I would say above average quality.
We are sure you will be pleased.
