Just been reading this post thread with dread - we are also booked for the Mythos Apartments leaving one week after on 25th June.  Up until now we have had no letter from Thomas Cook, so am wondering if anyone else booked for June has had their holiday cancelled?  We unfortunately cannot change our date of travel as holidays booked from work.  Does put a damper on a much looked forward to holiday, especially reading about Mythos apts being up for sale.

Yes, I am concerned as well.  We are staying at Mythos for 11 nights from 5th July and I am now dreading receiving a letter/phone call/e-mail telling me there are problems!!  However, they are still on sale on Thos Cook's website, several dates in May and a few in August were still available as of yesterday so perhaps it is only that one date that is a problem!!

I wait with baited breath for more information.

Last year the Mythos was still with Corfuescape as well as Thomascook. So they did double book and thats why they mooved people last year. The appartments have now dropped their sale price ,but still no sale. They do book quick because they are popular.Tour operators also try to fill all rooms. If one block of appartments hasnt sold well and another one has ,they try to book the ones that are not selling well. They never let us see the actual Database>Its the same sometimes when you book a flight, they will tell you its the last seats available then we panic and book them no matter what cost.

The trouble with flights is that sometimes it's true, and sometimes it's a booking scam.
or just that their share of seats has been sold.
When this happens, another agent may still have seats on the flight for sale - a bit like theatre Tickets!!

As for the Mythos, I gather that it's being sold as a going concern - a business, so T/Cook should honour the bookings,
we would hope!
Thomas Cook may choose to place people elsewhere, but I would be screaming if it was another resort.
Try not to let these big operators bully you into anywhere else -
they always have the option of renting other accomodation in S S!!

Madge, Sooz,

I did not mean to scare monger, honest.  I am quite sure you will have a lovely time.  Its just that we were exactly in your situation last year because we also had read similar reports of people being moved at the last moment and its not a nice feeling.  This just backs up my annoyance at Thomas Cook for letting the same scenario happening yet AGAIN.  We were unlucky this year I'm sure.  Have a fab time.

We are with them in April. Strangely our flight numbers have different flight times each week. Never known this before! Had bad experiences with T Cook before.

I forgot to mention, we had actually paid the outstanding balance literally one week prior to being told they could not honour the holiday.  Bit suspicious dont you think?

Rod - you are really much better off in the vicky Apts - trust me on this one.
When you get there  - take a walk around to the Mythos, they look ok, but not located nearly as well,
or as well fitted out. You will be pleased not to do the long walk each day.
However, if you like walking, there are plenty to do and you can choose where - Harbour etc

Rod exactly the same thing happened to us and another couple last summer, we booked Mythos apartmet though Thomas Cook, 2 days or so before we were going we were told that we had been double booked then tols that we had to take an apartment near Sidari.
When we got there we were told another taleby the rep.

Hello all, I've not been on here since last year but thought I'd pop back on as we're thinking about coming back to SS this year.
I'm shocked by what Rod has said as we would like to return to the Mythos.  :(

Tony, not sure I'd agree with you concerning the standard of the Mythos, our apartment was absolutely beautiful and couldn't fault a single thing (and believe me, I'm the biggest snob going!!). All fixtures and fittings were of an excellent standard.

I was going to book today, but not sure I'll bother now........ :'(
