This is standard practice with the big boys!
First in any accomodation, they cover their costs with an early better deals.
Once target for Teresa's is reached and if other Apt's below their Target,
they pump up the price to encourage  people to book elasewhere.
Then to keep sales up - A special cost cutting sale - i.e. £100 per couple off this weekend, (still a little dearer than before)
is run every now and again!!
Sound familiar??

Thomson's are past masters of this financial manipulation.
Yes I know and it drives us crackers.....thats why we have decided to hang on!

I think thats wise right now - but check every week end and subscribe to their special offer emails to get a warning - they sometimes do a one-off 24hour sale -usually V/Good!!

Hi all, we booked with Thomson for one week as it was £520 for the two of us including transfers, taxes, etc., flying from our local airport. Really couldn't miss out on this deal. We always go self catering so we can spread our cash amongst the local tavernas and other local businesses. Roll on Friday 14th at 1430! Regards, Arc.

I do the same - I love to support the locals and prefer a private booking,
but Thomsons do come up with some untouchable deals and you just have to go with it,
after all - unless your pockets are very-very deep - money counts!!
Even going with Thomsons - we still spend loads in the village - so I can't feel guilty!
