A quick question re transport
tonyco1:
Well it run's kind'a to a timetable - LOL
No late buses though!!
Seems that Thomas cook have a track record for doing this double booking - Sidari is ok for the younger set, but it's commercialised a touch!
You will be OK if placed in somewhere central, but loads of Apt's are stretched all over the resort and you might have to walk a very long way into town itself! (Long-Long Road).
Check out the location and argue strongly if you are being shafted!!
Gordonc:
There are also a few additional journeys between Sidari and Kassiopi only, or are least there were last year. I guess these will connect with buses from Kassiopi to Corfu Town but being Greece, maybe not :). I haven't got times for these but you should be able to pick them up from the above links. As others have said, use these as a guide until you there and then check locally as times do change and there are additional journeys from some places as the season progresses.
Most stops did seem to have up-to-date info on them when we were there in May last year and on a journey back from Corfu Town, the conductor was changing them. Hope this helps.
tonyco1:
Missh - do you ride a bike / quad at all? - cheap solution maybe!!
missh:
Can't see me on a quad somehow !!!! We actually went to Sidari (and were supposed to be in San Stefanos) in July last year the Thomas cook rep said that we could not get to San Stefanos via bus and e would have to ge a taxi she sad it would cost us 25 quid each way too for the taxi. I will never use Thomas Cook again ever.
tonyco1:
Ouch!! £25 for a cab!!
