Thomas Bay Hotel for my honeymoon June 2010 - hope we made the right choice!

its better than listening to our politicians telling us a load of c--p and gordon brown lying to us about every thing ,its nice to know we have something to look forward to holidays and all our friends in san stef  and the nice people we meet of the forum on holidays in corfu ,roll on may cant come soon enough just to get out of the country for two weeks r/r. yammas mike keep smiling all .

We will be going to the Thomas Bay on 7th.May for the 25th time-we go every May and every October.
The hotel and staff are wonderful,that's why we keep going back.
We do eat out often,NOT because the food is not good at the hotel quite the opposite but we like to visit as many places as possible because we know a lot of folk there now.
Last year we ALMOST cancelled because I'd been very poorly but we went and the chef couldn't do enough to ensure that I had something I really fancied and could eat.

I know there were some changes planned for the village over the winter and can't wait to get back to see what's been going on since October.

I couldn't agree more - that's exactly what we do every time we stay there.
Nikkos gets a little concerned and tries to make us eat there every night,
and offers us anything off the menu if we don't like the specials,
but we like to eat out as well - - as it's part of the holiday!!
We have to keep Nikkos and Dom happy as well, so we eat in every other night!

Hi there everyone!
My mother-in-law (to be) has kindly offered to babysit for 10 days and let me choose a holiday for myself and my hubby to be which she would help pay for.
I chose the Thomas Bay Hotel in San Stefanos - I can't say why - I just kept returning to it whenever I looked at holidays.
Most reviews seem excellent - I am very down-to-earth and would definately want to go somewhere with a friendly, chatty atmosphere. I always hate sitting across from the same guests for a whole stay and not socialising. It seems rude to me. Thats just me though.
We are hoping to make the most of this holiday and I am soooo excited. Ive spoken to Sally who works for a local day trip company and she seems really nice.
I'm wondering if anyone on this site will be there when we are - it would be nice to know someone to speak to in the bar etc I am a backing singer by trade and so the karaokes sound like fun if there are enough people up for it! Lol.

Anyway - a good time is a guaranteed!! People who go to the Thomas Bay are usually the sociable type!!

hello everyone me and my fiance(husband this friday! woo!)going on holiday to san stefanos for our honeymoon on the 7th of june and we are staying in thomas bay hotel for 11 nights. so would be nice to know other people who will be staying there

Congratulations lialia and welcome to the forum!
We will miss you, but will be staying there yet again in Sept.

You will love the way the Thomas Bay is so friendly and you will find you can't help but start talking to new friends there.
The staff are terrific and full of fun and the evenings are very relaxed, you will feel very comfortable there.
If you don't like any of the evening's set menu offerings, just tell Nikos the bar manager,
or Dominic the owner and they will offer other choices!
They always go the extra mile for their guests.
Also try a meal out one evening at the Beachcomber Bistro, and watch the sun set over the bay,
alternatively, also try Mythica or Ozzie Oils - - all of these offer a different type of meal to the regular Taverna,
that is as good as any top restaurant in any major city. Best to book first, earlier in the day - or day before to get that table.

Check out Aquarios Bar if you want a quieter but friendly bar, close to the Athina Hotel and run by Glen and Maria.
If you want lively, then it's a wide choice  - just take a walk around - it's all couple/family orientated!
