hi,
great site first of all from a new user.
well we go to san stef in 2 weeks time, staying at the romanza.
we are really looking forward to it, we have been to kalamaki for our last 3 holidays but are trying corfu. san stef looked ideal for us as we like it small and friendly.

what things would you recommend please? we like the beach, nice bars, tavernas, restaurants, walks and may hire a quad for a day. nice places to eat etc would be great, are there any looking out to sea or with nice views?

has the romanza got safety deposit boxes?
and also we are going with thomsons, but heard the transfer could be between 2 and 3 hours??? whats your thoughts on getting a taxi to the resort instead, and what would a taxi cost please for 2 adults and how long would it take in a taxi.

many thanks, this will be the first of many posts lol

Loads of people to help on here, this site has loads of info

I haven't been to San Stef yet, first time in August, also at the Romanza. Make sure you come back on here and 'review' the Romanza and some of the Tavernas.

Food at the Romanza's meant to be spot on and it has a great sea view whilst you eat apparently

Hi there ther are quite a few places to eat out in san stef  and the prices dont vary much .
As for a Taxi from the airport to san stef is just under an hour and will cost between fivety and sixety euro.
If you want a taxi i would book one through san stef travell.
Regards Harry

Welcome to the forums al73. Great choice of resort for your first time to Corfu. There are lots of places to eat and mostly you will have a great meal wherever you go. The resort is nice and friendly with a few local walks including a lovely beach to walk along. The Romanza is high up so you will get superb views of the sunsets over the nearby islands. The transfer can be from 1.5hrs upwards depending on your luck on the day and how many drops before you as well. Just make sure you have a drink for on the coach just in case it does take a long time.

Check out the San Stefanos Travel website to see excursions.
Beach is great - loads of pools - nice evenings!
