Welcome to San Stefanos (NW Corfu) > Where to stay
just a quickie re the Vicky!
hobbes:
3 days until we go to the Vicky aprtments and the long range forecast has rain for Corfu next week >:(. If the worst comes to the worst, does anyone know if there are TVs in the room and if so what channels they pick up-is it all greek channels or do they have BBC Worldwide or Sky news or anything we can understand?
IrisG:
We got back from the Vicky on Monday. We had studio 17 in the new building which had a TV.
It got BBC World News and Sky News with perfect pictures, and one or two other channels with very snowy pictures.
We saw an episode of "Monk" on one of these which was subtitled, so it meant that the dialogue was in English.
There is a big TV in the bar with most of the Sky channels as far as we could see.
Enjoy yourselves, we did and have just booked to go back next June!
hobbes:
Aw, thanks Iris. ;D Not that I intend to go on holiday to watch TV but its nice to know if we do get bad weather we don't have to go stir crazy in the room! Lat time we went we had rain practically every day for the whole week-not all day but enough that we were running in and out from the pool, and we never got to the beach at all. Thats partly why we picked the Vicky this time (Last time we were in the Romanza and its lovely but too far from everything).
tonyco1:
Still things you can do, but mostly, the bad weather is kept over Corfu Town by the nmountains,
so often the forecast is wrong in a nice way!
Jules:
As we arrived at Corfu airport this afternoon there was a lot of cloud hanging about and the odd spit of rain on the coach windows.
