helyou:
my daughter is staying at the tsaros apts in june, please does anyone know what the food is like there.  i.e basic foods or taverna menu etc

stressed0506:
Isn't that a self catering holiday ? Tsaros aptmts have a good reputation. There will undoubtedly be lots of people on the site who can comment on them fully.

Tsaros pool bar is great. Thanassi and his wife and dad are lovely and they do a good breakfast and snacks throughout the day.
There are plenty of excellent eating places throughout the village. Browse this site and you will pick up loads of info. When are they going?

lilly:
Helyou, we stayed at tsaros last year. They serve breakfasts such as full English, beans on toast, continental breakfasts etc. The daytime menu is very good and reasonably priced with the added bonus of a lovely pool and wonderful apartment owners. They stop serving food around 4pm and do not serve food of a night time but you can order a pizza from the town and eat it at the bar. They also do a barbeque on a Sunday evening at 10 euro's each which I believe is great value for money and very good. Plenty of lovely restaurants/tavernas to be had in the village too.
We are not going to SS this year, giving Thassos a go which looks very nice. Your daughter will love the apartments and SS too.

swedebasher:
We have been going there for years, and its a big thumbs up all round from us. If Dimitri gets himself into gear this year(!!) you can go down the steep path for twenty yards and eat at the Elpitha.

tonyco1:
helyou, just to add to swedebashers post, the Elpitha is a well respected Bistro with a great menu.
worth a visit.
Also a five minute walk down the hill will bring you plenty of eateries and a lot of choice.
Your daughter will find a favourite place to eat very easily, and a wide variety of menu as well, all within a short walk from "home"!!
