New Road

Don't get excited, the new road is nowhere near ready, but I think you'll be amazed at the progress.  The new mini roundabout is just past the petrol station, just before going up the hill to Avliotes and is totally confusing all the locals.  I wonder how the Thomas Cook and Thomsons coach drivers are going to negotiate it.  Have your web cams and mobiles at the ready.

Yes there is a roundabout which I duly followed the highway procedure and was then overtaken on the nearside but someone you thought they'd overtake on a roundabout......!!!! Am sure once its tarmac'ed and signposted it will be good althu I then will miss my summer fix of 'traffic jam' in Avliotes whilst supping a Krasi on the terrace of Illias.

I think after trying the new road, we'll still go through the village as I love that local flavour there! A real Corfiot Village!!

Busy, busy, busy are the workers, new road now has lighting installed and looking like it could be finished very soon at this weeks rate of work undertaken!!

It'll probably take them six months to paint the white line down the middle!

I think we are going to get the road in time for our Holiday, but I will still go through Avliotes - couldn't miss it!!
