Hello Kathryn welcome to the forum, just looked at your pics, what date in August are you going and where are you staying? we also go in August, 19th this year and are staying at the Barras, can,t come quick enough we love it.

Thank you so much Kathyrn for sharing your photos.  I recognise the Nafsika.  Where is the dancing taking place - the beach seems huge!  I really wished I could have seen it then - we did not discover SS until 2000.......

I'm going for the 1st time this year, Kathryn and I'm really excited about it.
Thanks for sharing your photos with us. It really looks like the sort of place my husband Malc and I will love.
We love friendly,quiet places without all the discos etc.
We're going on August 19th too so we'll just miss you as you're only going for the week this time.
We're staying at Tereza's because I just couldn't get away from the fantastic view there.
Everyone on here is so helpful and friendly and I'm really pleased I found this site.

Nice pictures, I remember the days when everyone drove along the length of the Beach to park.
We are there again first two weeks of August as we are taking the Grandchildren (and their mum & Dad) - Hope to bump into you one evening.
We are staying in the Athina Hotel this year because my son hates to budget, so he needs Half board.

Great photos Kathryn.  It also brings memories back for me as I first went to San Stef about 24 years ago.  I remember doing the paragliding and the bloke who owned the equipment always appeared a little tipsy.  Needless to say I missed the raft by a mile!  I spent the rest of the holiday observing his "landing the parachute" skills and it kept me highly amused.  Not many customers stayed out of the water.  Good fun!

Kathryn, brilliant, notice the road surface, pre-tarmac - - fell over a few times walking back from the Golden Beach and Nafsika at night - no street lamps - Torches were the order of the day!!
Beach was nice and wide in those days - do you remember the old Kantina that used to drive to the beach?
