Costas' Bar

(1/3) > >>

Karen:
Can someone please remind me where to find Costas' (ex Nafsica) bar.  I remember it is up a hill somewhere :-[  Would like to visit him this year.

debra:
Yes Karen I think I can!  We went there last August.  We were staying at the Perros and we came out there and turned right on the road towards Arillas.  As you go up this dreadful road and the bendy bendy bits on yur right there is a road and a sign that says Gravia Bar - you turn right and weave up this narrow road lined with lovely villas.  And at the top of this, immediately below you lies the resort of Arillas,  to your right the road goes up to Akrotiri Bar on the headland between Ag Stef and Arillas and immediately to your left is the wonderful Gravia Bar - and Costas - and his brother and his Mother etc etc.  Lovely fresh salads, wifi, spotless bar and wonderful coffee - mainly Greek and Germans there - he was building apartments above the bar and he said they had been booked before they were even finished.  next door to the bar is a block of apartments owned by Costas dad but Costas tells us they market them in germany.  Mostly German tourists up there - it was beautiful and lovely to see the lovely 'Nafsika pudding man' again!  On our way up my husband said I wonder if Costas still has his Audi and 20 seconds later a black audi screeched to a halt and out he came!  Scary - after 5 years he said 'John, I have been thinking of you only this week and here you are!'  the Greeks eh?  Unbeatable.

It's brilliant up there  - worth going, great at lunch time as well.

Karen:
Thanks Debra for the detailed reply.  Glad Costas is doing so well!  Will make the effort to visit him this year when we're feeling energetic enough for the walk! :)  Thanks Tony for your opinion too.

tonyco1:
The Camera is a must for the superb views up there, the bar has gone upmarket in all respects, a great experience.
