Welcome to San Stefanos (NW Corfu) > Where to stay
Last minute to Barras Appts!
tonyco1:
We often do a similar thing to Jimbo, we have a good breakfast, then take something from the bakery, also pick up fruit (maybe a quarter melon or bananas) & cold water from Margarita's Supermarket, or in fact any other supermarket, depending which way you walk to the beach.
If you stay at a pool, they generally do not like you to eat anything not bought at that venue - which is pretty fair!!
I see that swedebasher has pointed out that you cannot swing your meat (products) on the beach, so that's Don out then!! Jimbo's safe - - me too!!
or did I read that wrong?? LOL (then he said - - but we all do!!).

Hi Sellsy. I can't answer your question about whether or not barras has fridges, but I did notice that margaritas supermarket had freezer packs that were very cheap last year so if you did want to pack your coolbag in your case you could pick up a couple of freezer packs if there was a fridge. We always take fruit and stuff to the beach but as others have said we buy drinks and snacks if we go to a pool.
Jules:
Instead of freezer packs just put a couple of bottles of water in the freezing section of the fridge and then at the end of the day you can also drink it. Saves buying ice packs and having the water bottles you can kill 2 birds with one stone
tonyco1:
I can confirm that all Barras Apt's - do have a standard small fridge with a small freezer box inside it.
Kathryn:
Freezing water bottles is a great idea - we always do that, you can drink the water all through the day as it slowly melts, lovely and cold!
