End October

(1/5) > >>

benson:
Hi,

Been to Agios Stefanos many, many times but never at the end of October.

Me and the wife were looking at a long weekend in York or Chester but Ryanair flights mean that it's cheaper to go to AS.!!

Has anyone ever been the last week of October ? It's the last week of the season I think.

I'm wondering if it will all be open ? And what kind of weather we can expect (don't expect a tan top up !)

4 nights with flights, accomodation and car hire £350 - bargain  :)

Thanks for any comments

Haven't been there that late. Last year many tavernas (as opposed to apartments with restaurants) were closed before October 8th. For example, Zorbas was closed.

I think the weather will be just a gamble. We were on the beach first week in October some days. Evenings were sometimes quite cool. Just have to take it as it comes, I guess! Still - with a car you could visit some of the pretty villages around. Hey - it's fun and you don't need to turn the central heating on!

One year we did the last two weeks, it's quiet, the weather was good for us (as Jim says a gamble - can be windy & rain), sea gets chilly, not everything open,
most places close on the third week, but enough open to enjoy the holiday, as the people gather in the open places, so still fun!

Thanks for the replies guys.

After looking around it seems that the last thomson flight out is Friday 28th Oct.

So we are now going between 13th and 17th Oct.

Does anyone know the email address for Costas at Gravia. Will trek the hill if he's open you see.

Thanks,
