First visit to SS

(1/2) > >>

FAB1:
Hi

We are going to SS on the 3 October for two weeks, we will be staying at the Kapetanios (yes I know about the hill).  What can we expect weather wise at that time of year?

Any resort information would be very welcome as this is our first visit to SS and the first time this late to Corfu.

Thanks.

HI WEATHER CAN STILL BE QUITE WARM AT THAT TIME OF YEAR BUT YOU CAN ALSO GET THE ODD RAIN .YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED THOUGH IF YOU WANT A NICE RELAXING HOLIDAY WITH LOTS OF NICE PLACES TO DRINK THEN THIS IS THE PLACE. BEEN TO CORFU LOADS OF TIME BUT THIS YEAR WAS THE 1ST TIME HERE AND THE 4 OF US HAD A GREAT TIME AND WILL BE RETURNING NEXT YEAR. OZZY OILS, MYTHICA ,MISTRAL, LITTLE PRINCE , AND ZORBAS WERE JUST A FEW OF THE PLACES WE TRIED AND WERE NOT DISSAPOINTED. ONLY BAD MEAL WE HAD WAS PARADISE WHERE WE WAITED 2 HOURS TO BE SERVED COLD FOOD NOT GREAT SEEMING THERE WERE ONLY 3 TABLES TAKEN LOL .ENJOY IM SURE U WILL

Hi FAB1
Welcome to the forum.
Weather is usually good, maybe an odd wet day if unlucky, take a jumper for breezy evenings, otherwise T-Shirts rule!
You will love it!
Take a walk around to the church, and also try Fantasea Restaurant, next door, Beachcomber Bistro, Nafsika and Manthos Taverna - all brilliant!!
Some nice venues in that area as well - some of the best in fact, as well as the above mentioned.
Have a good one!!

Just got back on saturday from san stef.what a great time.first time back in 10 year's .can't wait to go back.but never again to olga.

Jaxbubbles:
Just read the comments from "Girlfriend" and felt a bit upset about the way the the Olga was mentioned :(, maybe a bit of an explanation as to why the Olga was so bad, its not really fair to run a place down without a reason.  We were there this year and had a great time. Although not the Ritz it was a lovely place to stay. With nice people, quiet area, and excellent pool.
