Dates for the diary?

Hi,

My wife and i will be in San Stefanos at the beginning of August for 2 weeks.

I wondered if there were any specific events, festivals, markets etc that we could plan for during our time there.

All suggestions welcome.

Well August is a great month for many local festivities which take place all around Corfu leading upto the Big Name Day for "Maria" on August 15th which is a national holiday. Many local villages will hold Panayiries where locals come together to eat and dance, normally around village squares and churches.  These events are posted closer to the time all around the roads on the island informing locals and holidaymakers alike as to where and when.
