Top Tips for San Stef Newbies
YANNIS26:
If you are fit enough to cope with cardiac hill or come by car visit the Romanza Hotel for its Sunday evening Greek night.Things I love about it are as follows .
1 It is attended by nearly as many locals as guests. These being friends and family of the people who run the Romanza Hotel and its Taverna.
2 The music is provided by a 2 piece band and there are no professional dance groups. All the music, singing and dancing is provided by the Romanza Staff their friends and family. They are not professional but they are very good.Of course all visitors and family alike are encouraged to join in.
3 The meal provided is barbeque but if you are not a barbeque fan you can pick something off the Taverna menu.
4 The icing on the cake are the magnificent sunsets as the sun goes down behind the offshore islands.(Andreas would say the icing on the cake is his dancing). It is brilliant but do not take my word for it.Turn up & make your own decision.

Totally agree with that!! We attended both the Greek nights when we were there....an absoloute scream
diane13:
Definitely agree with the comments about Romanza Greek night - although we don't stay at the Romanza any more (finding the steep hill a bit too much these days) we would never miss the Greek night and the music and Andreas and Kate dancing are great and always assured of a warm welcome
Waspman:
Totally agree about The Romanza BBQ night, fantastic Greek dancing and singing, everyone encouraged to join in, wouldn't miss it for the world.
Sellsy:
Agree re the Romanza, we're staying there again this year and the Greek night is a must.
Another top tip for a great night out is the BBQ night at Ozzie Oils, its traditional Barbie fare, plenty of it, in a lovely garden setting. However following puddings and after dinner drinks, the owner ( Kerry I think ) takes to the stage and sings a selection of songs that rounds off the evening perfectly. She really can sing and many passers by stop to listen. A very relaxing night, but needs to be booked in advance if you fancy it.
