A Good Bar with Sky TV in Corfu Town?
« on: June 21, 2012, 09:28:22 PM »
Gill and I are spending this weekend in Corfu Town before moving on to the Romanza on Tuesday.

However, we want to watch the Italy V England Match on Sunday night so can anyone recommend a good Brit Bar in the town.

In San Steph you will have loads of venues but not sure about Corfu Town.

This is the first (and last) time I have looked for a British Bar in Corfu! :o ;)

Last year in Corfu Town whilst a footie match was on TV,
I spotted several restaurants in the streets back from the Liston,
had visible TV's on display and a lot of EU citizens were chugging down beer watching.

I know - I joined them - and enjoyed a pint, dinner and footie.
I am sure lot's will be catering for the Euro matches.

Andy/Tony yes there are many bars with TV's and I am sure they will be showing footie as its a hot topic in Greece, as for the British bars that's where I'm stuck for names?  I do know in the nearest resort going out of town Kontokali there are 2 Brit bars I know off which is The Beer Bucket and Navigators but that would be a bus/taxi ride away approx 9kms from town centre.

Thanks for all your replies but we need not have worried, we are staying at the Corfu palace hotel and they have a temporary large screen set up in the bar.

All the Brits staying here will be there ready for the 9.45 (Greek time) kick off.

Come on England !!!
