We didn't like San Stefanos
mike30542:
Well - not for the first couple days! Initially we couldn't help comparing it to Elounda - there was no pretty harbour & we were disappointed with our first meal. The food was served differently than we'd had in Elounda & was not what we were expecting (although we wouldn't say it was bad).
I'm not sure what happened then - maybe it was the welcome we got at the juice bar from Shane & Sandra - maybe it was the people we met at the Kamini bar - maybe it was Nikos in the Athens bar -or maybe it was that the next couple of meals were excellent & lived up to our expectations - but we found ourselves enjoying it . After a week (we were there for 2 weeks) we were thinking we might consider going back next year & a few days later we were looking at possible places to stay. The day before we left we had decided we would definitely be going back to stay at Little Prince apartments.
One lady said it was her 17th time in San Stefanos & she believed that when people got there they all became nice people. Maybe that sums it up.

Mike - I think I was a bit like that - not exactly NOT liking it but comparing it for the first couple of days and then it just sort of seeps into your soul............... Oh dera - am going back for my 6th time soon - me, who believes the world is too big to keep returning to the same place! Now what happens? I compare everywhere to Agios Stefanos - and it keeps winning! I try to limit myself to every two years - but it's an effort :P

i thoughts that, and after our 10 year here, wouldnt go anywhere else. Its a magical feeling as soon as you get into the resort and we feel like it is our second home.

And we have been going since 1983, it has a certain charm and magic.

You all told me I would fall in love with it and and we both did.
Went last year for the first time to Tereza's and booked again almost as soon
as we got home.
