Hello!
We are due to depart to San Stefanos on Monday and have never been before. I have been to neighbouring Sidari 4 times though. Was wondering if anyone could answer a few questions please :)
Are there/how often are buses to Sidari and other resorts?
Where are the best places to eat at night?
Where does good breakfasts?
Any excursions recommeded?
Is there anything we should definitely do?
THANK YOU, Allie.

Hi Allie
Welcome to the forum. If you click on the Tourist Info label at the top of the forum page you will get the bus timetable.
My personal preference for evenig meals are Beachcomer,Olympia,Yiannis Grill,Ozzie Oils.Remember eveyones taste is different.
I cannot help with breakfasts as I always go B&B.
As for excursions the one tip I will give you is use the local travel agents not the Tour Company who will overcharge you for the same trip..
Cick on the home page at the top of the forum page ,then click on San Stefanos Travel where you will find a good selection of excursions by land & sea.

Is there anything we should definitely do?
Walk up the hill to the bars between AS and Arilas
But most of all enjoy and relax

The only caveat I would mention is that if you do book an excursion with the tour operator then you are at least guaranteed an English speaking guide, and a proper coach.
The reason I mention this is that last year we did the Albania trip, and it was only by sheer luck that our guide to the Butrint ruins was an English speaker. Some of the other coaches on the same trip had German speakers, who used English very much as a second choice.
Also, last month we booked a trip to Paleokastritsas and Bella Vista, which was advertised outside the agents (not the same agents as Albania) as "all tours in air-conditioned coaches", but what turned up was a Peugot 206, with a very pleasant young Greek man driving, who didn't speak much English. This car took the driver and FOUR adult passengers on a day when the car temperature gauge read 38 degrees! Most uncomfortable! We did enjoy the sights, though.
So, I suppose it's the chance you take.

Definitely aquaint yourself with the whole village and not just the bits by where you are staying. That way you will see all that is on offer taverna wise and you will be able to make your mind up where you may want to eat. Most places do a a good varied menu :)
