Hand luggage

<< < (2/2)

Rover:
They may not weigh it, but they can. It will go through security scans. Just be sure that you carry nothing which is banned, liquids, knives etc, and be prepared to pay/ put in hold baggage/ discard. Annoyingly, as has been discussed in other parts of this forum, you can 'load up'with stuff when you have cleared check in and go to 'duty free'
Enjoy your flight.

Hi, we flew with Thomas Cook last year to Turkey and they DID weigh our hand luggage both ways, but they put all four of our bags on the scales together. :) Hope this helps, regards Paula.

Home at 6.35am UK time today after 2hr 3min delay. As you said, check in handled by airport not airline and our hand luggage was not weighed. A lot of hand luggage on our flight looked well over the 5kg limit with a good number of 'wheelies' aboard. Had no problem, but don't like to push my luck with the weight limit.

Seems like they don't bother in Corfu, but they definitely do in most Turkish Airports, and some other destinations.

I am pretty sure that the charge we had to pay in Turkey, was "Trousered" by the staff there!!
That was with Thomas Cook!
