Gavlah1973:
Id change them regularly too if I were a bar owner!!

It's something we advise our customers (pubs) over here. Most in UK will change them weekly

tonyco1:
Gav - you miss the point,
Bar owners in San Stefanos want customers to have their codes, they get more custom then.
Beer and a nice seat while you post and email......

However, I can understand a certain few Owners of Hotels like the Nafsika who have a strong signal, easily picked up on the Beach,
as well as surrounding premises, switching codes often, so only customers in the Hotel can use it, because otherwise, too many piggy-backing onto the signal will reduce his bandwidth to almost zero.
So it's whatever suits........

Gavlah1973:
Im not missing the point!!

Bars where you can only get a signal inside then obviously you would have to be in there buying drinks/food etc to benefit from it.

However like you say, bars where you can get a strong signal, like you say should change them regularly

If you can only access certain WIFI points by actually being inside or very near a certain bar then there's no benefit posting them on here. You might as well ask for the code as your already there!!

I agree totally with Gav on this one. In order to get a sale you need to have people come and ask.

For basic security passwords should be changed fairly often. People do really stupid things on public networks - like accessing their bank accounts. Making sure that you know roughly who has access this week stops random snoopers from sitting outside without your knowledge.

Gavlah1973:
I also heard that a guy had been looking at very very naughty stuff using an unsecured network at a pub. He was doing this from 3 doors away.

1st stop for the police when they were looking for him???? Yup the pub owners got a gestapo style interregation!!
