Welcome to San Stefanos (NW Corfu) > Where to eat out in San Stefanos?

A long 6 years!

Jacksi:
Hi - I am new to this forum but have been reading it for a while now. We last went to San Stefanos 6 years ago this month and stayed at the Thomas Bay, which we loved and could not fault.  We enjoyed the food, the drinks and the company and had a brilliant time there.  We always said we would go back as we too fell in love with San Stefanos and after a few years of long haul all inclusive holidays we have decided to return back to our beloved San Stefanos.

We did feel though that by staying at the Thomas Bay on half board we missed out on visiting all these wonderful restaurants I keep reading about and so have decided to stay at Tereza (we have friends that have stayed there before and it comes highly recommended).  So please can I ask the following questions:

Has San Stefanos changed much in the last 6 years does anyone think, will we be disappointed that it has become more commercialised or will we see it as just the same lovable laid back village?

As over the past few years we havent really had to think about spending money for meals and drinks etc, so any information on prices of meals and drinks would be very helpful.

We arrive in San Stefanos late on the evening, will there be anywhere open that we could get something to eat.

That will do for now but I am sure that there will be lots of questions I will want to ask.

Thanks

Andrew:
Hi Jacksi good choice of hotel we were there 2 years ago and are going back next week the views from the font apartments and bar are stunning .We have only been going 4 years but in that time there has been no major changes.
Don,t remember having a bad meal in San Stef they are all pretty good, part of the fun is trying out as many different ones as you can and go back on the last night to your favorite if you can agree on it.
10 euros will get you 2 courses 2-3 euros for a beer . Enjoy  8)

Hi Jacksi and welcome to the forum.
How late will you be arriving at Teresa? When we have arrived around 10pmish we have been able to get toasties from the bar. In the village you will be able to get gyros etc from Tasty Corner or from Yannis.  Taverna wise for food will depend how late you are.
We have stayed at Teresa now for the last 12 years so we know you have made a great choice with apartments. If you need to know anymore just ask.

Hi

We fly just before 3 pm from the UK so would expect to arrive around 8 pm at Corfu Airport (Greek time), then there is the wait on the coach and then the journey up to San Stefanos.  So probably around 11 pm I would think.  We arrived more or less this time when we arrived at Thomas Bay and they provided us with a meal even though it was that late, albeit we were half board.  I dont expect the Tereza to start cooking for us at that time but it would be nice to know we could get something to eat - we will be starving and ready for a few drinks I would expect!!!

Thanks for your help
