« on: July 22, 2013, 07:14:31 PM »

We have been looking for holidays to San Stef for 2014 from Norwich and were surprised to see the revised flight times  , used to depart mid afternoon and arrive in San Stef around 11 30 pm Now departing at 6 am so we should be in our apartments around 3 30 pm .Departure time used to be around midday and now its 9 30 pm.  Great now we have an extra half day  Still got to pay the b****y Ł10  A.D.F. though.

Yes but the carrier is still 'To be advised' which is rather odd. I have booked twice Tenbeech, if you wish to compare notes!! This years plane was a 756 which was a bigger one than usual.

The flight times may be altered until they actually start flying. For two years the Thomson 6am flight was moved to 9am. Still, it will be in the same ball-park.

I should have explained better, at present it is a 'W' flight. Luton depart at 0700 where the plane stays overnight I assume, to Corfu, to Norwich, Corfu, then back to Luton late. Planes do not stay overnight at Norwich, hence the odd start time. As far as i can remember it has always been a Thomson plane and was always shown, never been a tba.

Bump.... just found the 2014 flights from Norwich are with Germania. Who on earth is this, German obviously?

Friends of ours flew with them to Samos this year and said they were great -- much cheaper than  Thomson flights from

Gatwick.

This is with bookings made with Thomson. Cannot ever recall them using Germania before, and in all the years we have flown from Norwich never.

According to the Wiki below, Germania have been flying charters for TUI (Thomson) since 1986. They have 18 planes with more on order. They have an excellent safety record.

Currently they fly to Corfu from Bremen and Efurt, so at least the flight-deck know where it is!

If it's total Thomson charter I imagine seat bookings will be available later.

Their website comments on the excellent range of soft-drinks they offer, but makes no mention of beer, vino or champagne. Might be wise to drop a couple of swifties down the throat at the airport!
