George........
Cerys:
We are all deeply saddened by Georges passing, he was a vibrant character among our community, a friend to everyone, and will be sorely missed. As mentioned previously he was featured as a San Stefanos Addict in this years issue of Sun, Sea &...San Stef where he gave an insight into his personal experiences of San Stefanos. If anyone would like to read the article, I have included the link below.

Gavlah1973:
My little boy wasn't quite 2 when we stayed at the Tsaros in late June.
He could only really say 2/3 definite words.
He used to sit in his pram at the bar next to George.
One day we were in the apartment and he saw George picture in the San Stefanos paper. He took his dummy out and clear as day shouted "George"
That was it for the rest of the holiday..... everytime he saw him........ "George"
swedebasher:
So sad to hear this, and no chats with him in the Tsaros bar in the future. He seemed in good fettle when we saw him in late September. :'(
swedebasher:
Bump..... @Lesley...have you heard from Thanassis or Nikos when/where he was buried??
Lesley:
He has been buried at the British Cemetry in Corfu Town which is a beautiful tranquil place amid the flowers and gardens which are kept immaculate by the gardener there. A lovely resting place.
