Launderette?
« on: February 18, 2014, 04:22:56 PM »
Could you let me know if there is a launderette in A Stef?  The last few holidays we've only stayed for a week so not needed one, but this July is two weeks  8) so a launderette would be very useful.  Thanks in advance.

There is a washing service, not so much a launderette. You drop off your bag of washing and collect it all done later. I think last year it was about 8 euros a bag.
The guys who run this service operate from a place next to 3 W bar. They also run the olive wood shop next door to it.
Navigating from Tasty Corner (on the t junction in the village) you take the road towards Arillas, the opposite way from the beach and its just along there on the right.
I have never used the service, but people who have have said its good and quick.

Yes exactly as stressed0506 describes. Very good service which I think was € 9 per bag and they will also iron for a small fee as well.

We are fortunate to have a bath in the apartment we stay in ,so every evening Tshirts and undies that have been worn that day go in the bath I squirt some bubble bath in and leave overnight.Next morning the get swished around, rinsed and put on the airer on the veranda and they dry in no time.

I find the hand-basin adequate for that - but then my pants are smaller than the average San Stef forum member!

Excellent service, we use them every year get all our washing done before we come home, they fold everything so that when we get home they are so easy to iron well worth every penny.
