Hi Karen, no problems with getting money out of ATM's or getting stirling changed into euros. There was a short length of time on Friday after the Brexit vote when some places in Europe weren't exchanging, as they were waiting for the currency fluctuations which happened after the vote results to calm down and stabilise

So today started a little overcast and cooler, but then the sun came through to give us a hot one for most of the day. The Mistral winds have picked up over the last few hours though, and now they're pretty strong, resulting in some of  the beachside places having to close for this evening, so no Chilly Chili, who get blasted by the winds up on their sand dune!

Our new neighbours have been doing their last prep, ready to open on Friday, doing burgers, toasties, sandwiches and drinks. They've been waiting for the usual paperwork snail to get their licences ready, but should be all good to go ready for 1st July.

Not long for you now Karen.....and the good news is the rubbish is on the move ( please refer to the other thread)

So the mistral winds of yesterday have died down somewhat today, although this afternoon there was still enough breeze for the kite surfers to be out enjoying themselves!

With the warmer evenings, there seem to be alot more people having a nightly stroll, and enjoying the balmy temperatures.

Karaoke tonight at Condor, someone's doing a pretty good rendition of 'any dream will do' right now!

Another hot and sunny day today, and now the winds have died down, business is good again for the beachside tavernas, who were all nice and busy this evening 

Quite a lot going on around the resort tonight.....Olly Murs/Robbie Williams tribute in Condor, quiz night at 3 W's, Greek night at 2 Stars, live music in Bar 38, and the football on in a lot of other bars....with Poland playing I can hear Kasia next door in Athens Bar cheering them on!

There was a cliff slip along the far end of the beach today.....remember that the cliffs are quite unstable due to wet winters/dry summers, so if you like to sunbathe at the northern area of the beach, keep a good eye on the cliffs above, and take care.

We saw a cliff slip some years ago. There was a very loud crack and lots of dust! We had planned to sunbathe there but John thought it looked unsafe, so we came away, just in time. Amazingly people sitting there didn't move, albeit they were surrounded by fallen rocks

Another sunny day, and hot, hot ,hot!!

We took some time out today, as Mr Hippopots turns 50 in a couple of days, so I surprised him with boat hire from Leo, (San Stefanos Boat Hire). We did a half day, which gave us plenty of time to get to Paleo and back, stopping on the way at a gorgeous beach only accessable by boat, and have a swim. If you've not done this, we can highly reccommend it, just wear plenty of suncream, as we're both a bit crispy tonight!!

Our new neighbours have opened today, serving burgers, sandwiches, salads etc....we wish them well.

Yes happy birthday! So today the mist has descended! So no beach today. Apart from that, had a few beautiful days,  quite busy in resort. The rubbish has gone hoorah! Beach could still do with a clean up down the bottom end.

Yes, been lovely and hot for a few days now, well into the 30's. As Karen says, the sea mist came rolling in early afternoon, blocking the sun for a little while....I believe its caused by excessive heat, creating the haze.

So a hot day was followed by a fantastic sunset, and a nice cooling breeze down on the beach. Chilly Chili nice an busy tonight, a great vantage point for sunset watching.
Silver Moon also has lots of people sat out on their patio, enjoying a quiet drink.

Beautiful day on the beach today. Clear blue skies. Breeze later in the afternoon. Most restaurants busy last night, especially Zorba's. Ate again at Nafsika. Spit roast pork with rice and fresh vegetables. Mmmm!! Football tonight, so I suppose everyone will in front the tv screens!

Think you might be right Karen....Mr Hippopots has just gone to Condor to watch the footie, and not that many people wandering around at the moment. Football fans must be in their chosen bars, and non fans are probably enjoying quieter tavernas!!

Another hot, gorgeous day, most definately pool or beach weather....the beach was pretty busy today, and the sea is a lovely temperature now!

Wind has picked up quite a bit tonight, and as it's coming in from the sea we could have a mistral for a day or two, but it is nice that it cools the temperature a little!
