After some beautiful sunny days, March the 1st is rather overcast, making it quite breezy on the beach, with some quite choppy waves.

After the great day the was Clean Monday, with Avliotes carnival, all is back to normal. It was a fab afternoon, and there were some brilliant floats and costumes! It was quite funny seeing our friends all dressed up, a couple of which I hardly recognised until they spoke!! Also, lovely to see the younger generation of the village participating proudly in their majorette troupe, they were fantastic.

Down in San Stef today preparations are beginning for the new season. More stonework going on at Olympia, which is looking lovely, and some after winter work being done at Mare Deus,

Much work happening at Elizabeths, as their last premises in their row of shops (which used to be rented by Corfu Explore) is undergoing some work......the frontage has been brought out in line with the others, and is going to be in use this year, which is nice. Will be interesting to see what they will be selling.

Well, after a bit of a thunderstorm and some windy weather last night, we're back to another sunny day today. The storm has brought the tide in today though.....the stream was much wider, and not possible to get through without wellies, and the beach much narrower.
After deciding we couldn't walk along the beach, as we couldn't get past the stream, we turned around and headed back towards Fantasea, where, just at the bottom of the slope up we had to make a mad dash for it to avoid wet feet from a rogue wave!!

Saturday afternoon, and all quiet in most of the village, although Spiros was at Silver Star doing some outside prepping.

Quite lively around the 'older' part, with lots of work going on at Marina Villas. They are working really hard over there, I can't wait to see the end result, think it's going to look great!

Well, we have been so lucky here with the weather this March, with fabulous sunshine just about every day!  Been a little chilly at night, but won't be long before Summer's here.

Popped into San Stef on Friday, and there's been a few bits of work going on. Terezas hotel looks like it's replacing the roof above the bar area, and the canopy out the front of Princess Bar at Little Prince has been taken down, so quite possibly thats being replaced too.

Looks like Waves have been busy renovating their loo's, and we're getting a new floor, which is really nice!

Talking to various buusiness friends in San Stef, Arillas, and Afionas, it sounds like we're all gearing up for a good Summer, and are looking forward to it!

Lovely to hear the resort is getting ready for the new season.  I have been wondering whats going on - love to hear whats happening!  Glad to hear that hippopots is getting ready in the new shop - sounds an amazing spot - Bod will love it!!

I cant wait to enjoy all the news and photos.  feels in reach now!

Just got back from a lovely walk on the beach, the weather today is amazing, it really does feel like Spring is here, and so hopefully we have seen the end of Winter!

Work is progressing nicely in the village.....a new pergola is going up outside Princess Bar at Little Prince, and the jet washer was in use on the hotel patio.

Mare Deus also has a nice new white pergola frame in place on the beachside of their building, which will give a lovely ammount of shade to sit under whilst enjoying the view.

And furtther along the beach, Havana is getting a spruce up with painting being done in prepaaration for Summer.

Just got back from San Stef, and what a hive of activity it is today.

Lots going on along the Avliotes road, with work happening at Thomas Bay, Acabar, 2 Stars, Elizabeths, Aspa, and something going on at the empty shop by Kathy's market, although not sure what as yet.

The beach is looking beautiful, and there were even people venturing into the water along near Mango Bar....I went in as far as my toes  But have to say, because we've had a good run of amazing weather, the sea is much warmer than it usually is at this time of the year!

Mistral getting prepped, with sanding down and re-painting going on, and our new floor is nearly done yay!!

Just one month to start of Summer, and we're all getting stuck in, ready to welcome you all for what will hopefully be a fantastic season for everyone.

Yay! sounds wonderful - and yes not long until the start of the season.  We werent sure if we were able to come back this year but we are! mid august    Cannot wait!
