Karen:
Thanks Loftyscot ;) Got home at 3am. You sound far more active than us on our holidays, we should do more exploring. Thanks for your updates too. The lovely Jim and Gillie were arriving yesterday, unfortunately we have missed them this year, but caught up with lots of our lovely friends at Silver Moon and in the village. Enjoy your day :)

Karen:
Tredegar Boy, we  had to thunderstorms whilst we were there, albeit evening and a couple of cloudy days, but it does give a little respite from the heat :)

maggiesaes:
Glad you are home safe and sound Karen.

We came in May as usual this year and we had hail stones, it was so cold-never known it before in the 20 odd years  we have been going.

Thank you Maggie :) yes, talking to the locals, they say they've never seen weather like it.

The rain update  :)

For a wee flavour of what's happening right now, I hope you can view this link of Nonda's at this evening at 7.30pm. To be fair, it did clear up this afternoon, and hopefully this is the last of it. A sort of 15 minutes 'last hurrah' of the rain.
