Well, what can I say other than once again an absolutely lovely day. Many people commented on how hot it was today, and I must admit it did feel a tad warm this evening whilst walking Bod.

Broomie popped in today, and Winkie last week.....so nice to see forum members!

I also met a lady today who is here for the first time, for 4 weeks. She's already met lots of nice people, and said how everyone is so friendly.

She was looking for Elphida's, which I believe is hopefully opening very soon.

Restaurants and tavernas are getting busier now, and many are regularly enjoying the people watching and waffles at Silver Star.
Live music tonight at Athens Bar, with many enjoying it.

Another lovely hot bright sunny day 

Went for a wander along the beach this afternoon, and lots of people on the sunbeds soaking up the sun, or taking a dip in the sea.
Choice of sunbeds by Havana, Mango, and Vickys, Athena, Waves, and not on the beach in front of Manthos, but where his boat used to be, which gives people an elevated view.

Nice gentle breeze coming in off the sea too, which made it feel very comfortable.

This evening there was a slight haze out to sea, slightly obscuring the islands, but there was a lovely sunset, a calm sea, and someone on a stand up paddle board silhouetted against the backdrop.....must remember to take my camera to capture these lovely evenings!

A very hot day today, and wall to wall sunshine!

Village feeling very lively tonight, with plenty of people enjoying the bars, with a Boy George tribute at Condor, and Splinter Band at Thomas Bay.

As I walked along the beach at sunset, it was nice to see many of the tavernas in the 'old' village busy.....Beachcombers was full, and Manthos, Waves, Mistrael, and Fantasea all having a good ammount of custom.
Lovely aromas coming from Nafsika, Kamini had some people enjoying a drink whilst the sun set, and Beer O Clock had drinkers and diners, and also has a bright shiny new sign, so you'll all be able to find it.

Absolutely gorgeous day again!

Very quiet in the village during the daytime, think everyone was on the beach or by the pools, and rightly so, as best place to be on a hot day on holiday! 

Evenings busy, with plenty of people heading out for drinks and dinner. There was traditional Greek dancing at Athina tonight, and also live music at Summer Dreams.
Also quite a number of people enjoying a quiet drink on the terraces of Bar 38 and Aquarius.

Postings from myself will continue as normal until Wednesday, then there will be a gap until Fri 26th, due to us making an unscheduled, but very necessary trip to UK.
Apologies to anyone who we'll miss whilst away, but we'll be back!

Don't know if the greek dancing is a regular thing at Athina, but it was being done in traditional costume, so maybe it could be a regular thing.

Another hot one today, with a few clouds late afternoon, but they didn't linger too long.

Many coaches coming and going as its Monday, and it feels like the village is filling up!
However, with so much choice of lovely places to eat, no worries about not getting a table anywhere. And of course we have a couple of new places this year, Brusko, next to Acabar, and Wednesday sees the long awaited re-opening of Elphida's Bistro.

We have just got back from S.S. we had a fabulous time staying at the Athina,what a wonderful family.They made our stay so memorable. we have been coming to S.S. for 22 years,this was the best 2 weeks we have had in all that time.The greek night on a Sunday is great.very different from the others.
