Hi Helen, thanks for letting up know the turtle and crane/heron got back OK.....bubble wrap is our best friend!!

Well, today started nice and sunny, a little cooler than of late.

Quite a few people had mentioned that we have storms coming, and by late afternoon it had started to cloud over, and the wind started to pick up.
At 10.30pm it's very windy, so hopefully that may blow any potential storms away!
So tonight, all bars and tavernas have their windshields put to good use, and we've decided to call it a night before any pieces get blown over!

Lots of people back today, some from last year, and some from earlier in the year, its been lovely having people popping in to say Hi.  :)

Well, what happened today was rain, and lots of it!

Big thunderstorm in the night kept alot of people awake, and I'm sure was not pleasant for those travelling either to or from Corfu last night.

This morning started a bit overcast, but with some very ominous black clouds over the sea.
By 11am the heavens opened, and we had some torrential rain, then it stopped, then it started again, then stopped, some hardy souls braved coming out, then it started again!!
By late afternoon it finally stopped, and lots of mopping up was in order from us all before evening trade.

People started venturing out for some early dinners tonight, probably just in case it started again, and possibly because they needed a change of scene.....
But, none of us can do anything about the weather, so when on holiday the best thing to do is just sit back with a nice cold Mythos (or something similar!), and just relax, as tomorrow is another day, (and hopefuly not a wet one!!!)
It's not the normal weather for this time of year, but has been the result of a weather frront moving across Europe, so hopefuly the sun will be back tomorrow.

Looking at weather model output charts for next few days indicates Corfu and the Adriatic, Balkans, Italy are in firing line for thunderstorms.

Very happy to say normal weather for the time of year has returned to San Stef, and today all rain macs and umbrellas were replaced by hats, sunglasses and suncream  8)

I think after yesterdays storms everyone was determined to get out there and enjoy the sunshine, as quads and scooters were leaving Spiros and Pegasus in quite large numbers this morning, then the village became pretty quiet whilst everyone else was soaking up the sunshine!!

This evening we have just returned from our late dog walk, and most of the restaurants are all done for the night, so many had early dinners, followed by drinks. Where depends on what they fancied.....Keith Mitchell in Athens, Glenns company in Aquarius, football in Barras and El Greco, Karaoke in Condor, the company of the smiling Margarita in 3w's, or a quiet relaxed drink in Summer Dreams or Kamini.

A rather mixed day today, started off sunny, then turned to rain by 11am for a couple of hours, then you could see the lovely blue sky coming on from the sea, giving us all a nice bright and sunny afternoon.

This evening is very warm, and although we've just had a light smattering of rain just now, it's still very pleasant to be out and about.

Afew people still around, having a night cap or two in the bars, but overall quite quiet out there now.

Hope you've had a good journey cabmufc, pop in and say Hi, when you've unpacked and chilled out!!

Rain early this morning gave way to a lovely sunny Corfu day, just a few fluffy white clouds, but nothing to spoil a day at the beach or pool.

Now its 'back to school' time, so the ambience of the village changes once more, with very few children here now, and many couples.
Also, restaurants are busier later into the evenings now, as the families with young children invariably go out to eat earlier than just adults, so where many tavernas were closing up at 11 a week or 2 ago, many were still in full swing at 10.45pm tonight.

Alittle light rain falling just now, but nothing much to worry about, and if it comes avernight, then we still get nice sunny days!  ;D
