....and a superb shop it is too.Loads of stuff to browse, and a beautiful lady named Maria to serve you,she is so funny and very helpful.

If any of you forum members go into the paper shop and Maria is there, ask her "do you sell banana liqueur"

She will know who you've been talking to!  She has a great sense of humour.

We were in there browsing and a couple came in and asked that question! We didn't get the joke as Maria and them started laughing. I bought two lovely dresses from her. It's a very nice shop.

Many years ago, maybe 10 years, I asked the question "do you sell banana liqueur" thinking that she might, she said she didn't.

Every year since then on my first visit to the shop I have always asked the same question, usually before she sees me, of course she knows who it is straight away.

If anyone else comes into the shop and asks that question she says "I know who you have been talking to"

About 3 years ago a brought over a miniature bottle of banana liqueur for her. She now calls me "the banana man"

As you say it is a lovely shop and we use it every day.

My watch battery died, so I went to Maria's for the solution. Excellent watch with a stretchy plastic strap for 7.5 Euros.
The next day, Gillie's watch strap broke. Went back to Maria's and bought another one.

Maria and Peli are lovely.

Hint for smokers: Maria will order whatever you want. You need to do this by Wednesday, as she gets the deliveries on Thursday. If you are going on a Friday flight, email her in advance and order the fags, otherwise you'll have to wait a week.
