I'm not an expert, but doesn't the cost of hire include insurance?

I believe you only get 3rd party insurance with the quads, not sure if you can upgrade.

I think WINKIE is referring to holiday travel insurance? Many of these policies exclude "activities" such as quad bike hire and beach para gliding etc. If you injure yourself, you may be on your own!

Apologies folks, I should have made my post a little clearer.Apparently,I will not be covered by my holiday insurance, for personal injuries sustained,if I have the misfortune to be involved in an accident.

Most Insurers will cover it subject to a small additional premium. I'm a broker and can easily arrange cover to include it.

Having lived outside the uk now for 10 years you realise even more how much the Uk gets ripped off insurance wise..we dont have NHS ,all private but costs less per month.I pay €40 per month for full medical /hospital cover regardless where i travel.pays for all expenses.I go to see my doctor i pay €25 i get a minimun 20 minutes consultation and i can claim half back..also any medication i buy also claim half back, plus its half the price than the Uk anyway..So im lucky no worries with, medical, car or exchange rates.
