Tobacco

<< < (2/2)

Richard/Jackie/Nathan:
yeah, they were 40 euro last year so hat will probably be about right.

tenbeech:

I was in Italy last year and in a couple of airports, Verona & Bari ,U K  travellers were not allowed to buy tobacco products there , Anyone know if the rules have changed ,or was it just an Italian thing ?
As a non smoker it doesn't really bother me , what does bother me is its another privilege being taken away, what's next ?

BarbaraG:
Tenbeech, I was at Rome airport in 2005 and when I attempted to buy cigarettes there, was told duty-free tobacco products were not available for travellers to the UK! Never been able to find out why. I was NOT a happy bunny!

Jimbo:
We have not been able to buy duty free tobacco for years when travelling in Europe. You can buy cigs at Corfu airport at standard rates. I always get mine from Maria in the village.
