Cash...
« on: June 30, 2015, 04:57:01 PM »
The Govt is today advising that people traveling to Greece take enough cash to cover all eventualities (including emergencies). That could be an awful lot of cash for some, particularly for those with kids. We're not with kids but we'll bring probably Ł2,500 for our two week stay as we need to hire a car, pay for our accommodation and spending money.

According to the website our accommodation doesn't have a safe, can anyone advise on where to keep cash when there's no safe? Is there anything in town?

I'm not going to say where I'm staying as that would be silly, however I do worry that the resorts will become easy pickings for desperate people without some real security.

Yes, there was a theft a couple of years ago, somewhere around the Nafsika/Tsaros/Kamini bar area, thought to be immigrants, remember Albania is only a stone throw away. Best keep your money in a safe.
