I'd rather have that than an inconsiderate person in front recline their seat

I never know why people recline their seats, as you really don't gain very much and make it uncomfortable for the person behind you.

You are absolutely right Karen. Did I read somewhere that one airline had "locked" seats into the upright position?

Came back on a Thomas Cook flight last week, person in front of my friend had seat reclined, stewardess said she could only asked them to put it upright when we were eating or drinking which she did but as soon as we were finished he immediately reclined the seat again. I can't believe how inconsiderate some people are, he also wore his Raybans throughout the flight what an idiot!!!!

We had a young teenager who insisted on reclining their seat on a coach trip last year.  When we politely asked her if she could put her seat up she refused saying she was "tired" and wanted to sleep, and "daddy" stuck up for her.  She then went on to get her iphone out and play on that for the whole journey back to San Stef !!  We had to change seats as my husband didn't have any space to move!!  At least we could move not like on a plane I suppose!!

Sadly, there are inconsiderate people around. The solution is simple, as Easyjet seem to have realised. Non reclining seats.

Have travelled Easyjet to SS for some years now and fixed seats were on every flight, and more legroom than Thomson too!

Don't apologise. If folk don't want to travel with passengers who have kids then they can feel free to charter a private jet, or drive.

Just had a survey to do on behalf of Thomson/First Choice, with all manner of questions about your opinions if they used other airlines for the flight, like the Germania ones a couple of airports now have. Do not know what effect this would have on 'extras' like seat booking if brought in generally.
