Beach towels on last day

(1/3) > >>

Teamnickos:
We have an evening flight so can have 2-3 hours on the beach on the last day but don't want to pack wet beach towels. I am thinking of buying cheapos from Primark (£4 each), alternate using them with our good ones - then good ones don't get so crusty and can use the cheapies on the last day and then throw them away. Still feel bad about the waste though. Any other ideas? ( don't say "don't have a swim!)
Thanks Frankie

Waspman:
Buy a cheap towel (to share) in resort at 5 euros, then throw it away.

Maybe some of the locals will know of a charity shop nearby - I have seen these occasionally on other Greek islands, although not as plentiful as in the UK! Alternatively there might be somewhere collecting donated items for the Syrian refugees. I saw a lot of the good work being done on Lesvos last year.

tenbeech:

We have just returned from Ibiza ( Es Cana ) with Thomson , and our rep had a table on which you could leave all your unwanted items at the end of your holiday , things like shampoo ,sun cream after sun , There was quite a selection of beach shoes ,towels , etc. a much better idea than throwing them away at the end of your holiday.

Teamnickos:
That's such a good idea. Maybe someone will know if the same is being done anywhere in San Stef.
