Jimbo:
Brollies and sunbeds now out at Mistral. Great to see that, even if we have nine weeks to go!

geordieborn2:
When the kids were young we used often go as early as May, but normally the very end of May. There was always a risk of a day or two with some rain, even an odd very entertaining thunderstorm! Looking at the long term forecast I wonder if much has changed as I see the temperatures all of a sudden jump in June. A long way off for forecasters, but the end of July looks a tad hot (33-34c). It often does change, but a lot of the time it actually turns out even hotter than predicted! I wonder how many find the water even cooler when it’s hotter than just now. I know it did not stop our kids going in the pool or sea on those early holidays, but it did put us off ::) !

Lesley:
Not sure re climate change etc - however when we married here on 14th June back in 2003 it was the hottest day of the Summer at 42c.  I had to have a few frou  frou layers taken out of the frou frou dress for the Church - it was so hot when they threw the rice it stuck to my back - perhaps not the best photos for album  LOL.....

Jimbo:
Lovely story!

Tredegar Boy:
God it looks wet. I've never known weather like that in the day in June. The odd storm yes but those were mainly overnight.
