joan:
Have been going to SS for 27 yrs, always go to the far end of the beach by the hut as usually quieter there. Never have had any problems there until today.
The small section of sunbeds 13 umbrellas in total have only been there for two years.
We got set up near the waters edge at least 25 - 30 metre from the nearest bed.
To our surprise he came over and told us to move as we were spoiling the Vista for his paying clients!!!!
After much discussion we made it very clear that the beach is a public place and we can sit where we choose. He admitted that it was a public beach so he could not stop us. I offered the services of the local constabulary but he definitely declined,he backed off when he knew he couldn't win.
Looking forward to round 2 tomorrow  ???

Cor what a cheeky so and so,glad you stuck to your guns.

Karen:
Yes, we were there in July, on those beds and we saw him do that a couple of times, thought it a bit odd. We would also have questioned him, if that had happened to us, it is a public beach, no one is questioned when they put their towels down at the top end of the beach. :)

maggiesaes:
He won't get much change from the regulars will he,they all know the ropes.

GarySam:
That's the end we like, just beyond Steptoe and Son overgrown holiday shack. Will find out over the weekend when we arrive
