Thanks Lesley. Will keep our eyes open for powdered milk! We do use fresh milk always in preference, of course.  It's just when staying at Nafsika you do not have a fridge. It's always possible to keep the fresh milk downstairs in one of the fridges there, but I'm too lazy to go down for it early in the morning!!  ;D

Perhaps there have not been enough visitors to warrant the cost of keeping the cam going?

It looks like Angelcam have decided to charge for access, $30 a year to access to 10 Webcams.  I only wanted one!  I think I may go for it as its my daily fix. ::)

Superb deep blue colours. Looks like Mathos place is getting ready for the season as well... From what I've read there seems to be a lot of worry about bookings being down :-\

I don't think it's very surprising, given that there's a war in Europe, the cost of living is going up steeply, and we have all-time record Covid infections. The mini-budget didn't do anything at all for me. I suspect a lot of people are waiting to see what happens. Greece won't be getting any Russian or Ukrainian visitors, and fewer, I suspect, from the Baltic countries or the ex-Soviet bloc.

However, a decisive Ukrainian victory could bring some of this to an end sooner rather than later. Russia is near-bankrupt and did not bet on a prolonged war. It's costing Russia an estimated $11 billion per day. That's not sustainable when your economy has tanked.

The epidemiological data from Denmark suggest the the current Covid wave will decline in a couple of weeks or so. That would be one concern reduced, at least.

Today is Independence Day in Greece. It's worth noting that it was achieved despite resistance from the British, who wanted a small Greek state in the Peloponnese.

A special day for Corfu, because Ioannis Kapodistrias, after whom the airport is named, was the first Governor of independent Greece. He was assassinated in Nafplion - then the capital - and is buried on Corfu. He told the British to naff off, and without him Greece might be a very different place today.

Just now the white goats were strolling along the beach past Manthos and ended up nibbling the grass in front of Mistral. Beautiful sight on a beautiful day, both here and there.

Yes it looks beautiful there today, and seems to be a lot warmer at 19c just now. Very nice here at 15c, but my local forecast shows snow for Tuesday evening.... ::)
