Welcome to San Stefanos (NW Corfu) > San Stefanos news and views

So how many of us are actually going (hopefully)

hobbes:
I'm really hoping enough people are going that some of the restaurants and shops will still be open in September. I've been checking the hotels availability and they all seem to have rooms available for September-I'm not sure whether that's good or bad!

jools23:
Covid 19 and the Greek Government allowing - we'll be off on the 25th of July - we'll post what's open if we get there :-)

Please do and enjoy!

Evertonendo:
Yes looking forward to hearing positive things.
We were booked to stay at Paralia Apts for 2 weeks but have put it back to 2021 now but might nip out there for a week if things settle down and tavernas are open ?

Jimbo:
I'm sure there will be enough places open. It'll just be a bit more like the end of September. Places like Tasty Corner, Yiannis Grill, Yiannis, Town Pizza, probably Beachcomber, are small family-run businesses which don't have the high staff requirements of the hotels, so they can work all right with lower customer levels, and there's less competition. I expect that Mango, Havana and Manthos will be open to provide for the beach. Mistral's more doubtful, because they mostly come from Sidari. Lesley will be able to report on Vicky, and I expect Barras will be open, and Waves.

So I wouldn't worry too much. There won't be millions of sunbeds on the beach, which I happen to think is a good thing!
