Many thanks to you both ( Karen and GB) , having second thoughts now, so frustrating, so many going and appearing to enjoy their holidays at the moment according to social media. Looking for an alternative trip nearer home,may be the way to go.

We arrived safely on 18th July. The town is much quieter than normal but lot's of nice restaurants are open at the harbour end of the town. The Nafsika was buzzing with activity but we think that was for a private celebration last night. The Mistral sun bed area is being expanded so he is hopeful. If you do come have a great time. The weather is as fantastic as usual.

Bill, what was the airport experience like?

Hi karen. We are here. At last!! No worries for anyone coming to San stefanos. It's obviously quieter than usual at the moment. More and more people arriving every day. Most places open. But on the whole, it's still the same San stefanos. The airport experience at Corfu was surprisingly easy. No problems. The quickest we've ever gone through. Quickly through passport control, then police check your plf code. Off you go to collect your luggage. If you have booked to come. No problem. Enjoy. 😊

They have a testing regime at the airport (which is quiet of course) and they select the candidates for testing as you clear passport control. You need to show them the printed form and from that they select the subject. Very easy and you know by email within a day if you are positive.

You are isolated in hospltal in Corfu if you test positive for the virus. They attempt to track down the people you have been in contact with and mentioned fellow passengers. Bill

There are a mix of nationalities. But quite a few brits. It's Friday, so we are expecting quite a few in today. 👍
