Face Masks
« on: July 19, 2020, 12:09:53 PM »
From 18th July the Government has introduced the wearing of facemaks by employees and customers in all supermarkets in Greece.  Failure to comply incurs a 150 euros fine.  Facemasks as previously posted are also to be worn on Public transport and taxis.

Do you think they will take/prefer cash in bars/restaurants or card only?

I've been in touch with a local by email. Apparently it's as normal. You can use cash or cards. 😊👍

How has the "social distancing"  been in the last couple of weeks? I have seen some worrying photos recently.

Cash or cards , you can exchange money if needed or you can use the ATM if that is your preference too.
Re Face Masks - I have to wear one on behind reception and honestly I hate it.  I have tried the cotton ones so I can wash overnight and my boss bought me one of those plastic overhead ones - even worse as it steams up in the heat here plus hurts my head - makes me think of Frankinstein.....

I could imagine Lesley how uncomfortable it would be wearing one all day.

Anyone read the report in the news yesterday by some USA Professor now claiming FaceMasks are not enough and we should be looking for full face coverings including eye protection to be fully proctected!!
Also be advised from yesterday FaceMasks are to be worn in all enlclosed shops here in Greece - for example I went to Sidari yesterday evening to play the Lottery and needed to wear my facemask inside the shop......

Yep, read that yesterday Lesley, soon be arriving in full haz mat suit. All shops here in Scotland are the same, masks must be worn when entering, unless you have a breathing condition, eg, asthma. Hope you have a good weekend.
