We can all choose what holiday is right for us. We can go anywhere to get the Sun . But when you can't eat at your favourite taverna or have a late night drink with your friends and back to your rooms  by midnight, as nowhere is open, wearing facemasks all the time...I know where I would rather be.
Yip, San Stef.

I suppose living here (well in the main village Avliotes) and working down here in resort which I leave every late afternoon anyway around 5pm to return to my home and sit in my garden - is very different to being on holiday as I am probably much like anone else working around the world (whom works day shifts) in bed around 10pm most evernings.
However if the decision was I could have a holiday in Greece, enjoy the sun, good food, warmth and be free and only drink until 12pm or I could stay in UK if lucky in an area not on lockdown - I know what I would choose.  However that is not my decision as I am a worker not a holidaymaker so everything is relevant to those whom choose to holiday or not......

I’m with you Lesley, Greece wins every time.  8) 8) 8)

Sitting here on my sun bed on Agios Stefanos beach wondering what would be different without the current restrictions.

We only wear face masks when we go into a shop - that’s about 2 minutes every 3 days to buy fresh bread and milk.

The only Taverna not open is Nafsika, yes a loss but not a reason not to come on Holiday

I must say Athens not being open is a bit of a blow but not a reason to not come - there are other bars.

Midnight ‘Curfew’’ - we go out around 7:30pm and have pre dinner drinks in either Silver Star, El Greco or if dining in the older part of the village we go to Kamini.
We usually eat around 9pm and either stay in the restaurant ordering more wine or walk back to the bars around 11pm for the final hour.
We are lucky to have a nice patio outside our villa where, if we want to, can enjoy more drinks and chat with friends.

It’s so close to normal that this is our second visit this year, we came on the first flight in back on the 15th July, it was very quiet for a few days then but has been fairly busy ever since. And we have just booked Delfino Blu for our 3rd visit at the end of September.

Can I just say I respect everyone's idea of a holiday and I hope you respect mine. At home we are just pensioners with a quiet life. I'm a 63 year old grandma, who likes to let her hair down on holiday. I love dancing with my friends in the Condor, can't even do that, I gather. It's not about needing to drink, it's about socialising with friends who also like to be out after midnight without the fear of turning into a pumpkin, so enjoy your holidays everyone!

Great info Benson.  Pleased you are enjoying your holiday.  My wife and I are due to arrive on 10th September so these updates are very informative.  Is the 180° bar open on the beach front?  It used to be Chili Chill.

Karen I have no doubt few if any on here would dream of not respecting how you like to enjoy your holiday. I'm sure there are many aspects of each of our lives that others find odd simply because it's not their way. Marmite or not as the case may be and totally going off it - I never liked the stuff until one year in Corfu... The rest of the family found that most odd as they loved the stuff. One morning (probably too much vino the previous night) I decided to try the smallest amount possible. Now I could not get by without it - 500gr jars are back!

Haha! That is odd! Thanks for your reply. I don't mind being odd, it's better than being the same as everyone one else! ;D

Thanks Rod, I thought this thread needed balance.

180 is NOT open, nothing to do with the virus it would not have opened anyway.
Shame because we liked it there for after beach G&Ts
