Greece added to Scotland's quarantine list...

We should have arrived Monday past and now would have had to quarantine on return.

I cant understand this, I believe there has been some infections traced back to Greece but the infection rate is steady and well under the 20, I really hope Sturgeon is not playing politics here!  >:(

They seem to lump the main land and islands together, so people coming back from Zante,on two flights with infection, has no doubt had an impact, will we follow suit....who knows

We will go anyway and quarantine when we get back. I am prepared to lose 2 weeks wages if necessary. We have worked throughout the pandemic when many of my colleagues sat at home so I will have this holiday unless Greece declares US persona non grata!

They aren't saying we can't go, just that we need to quarantine on return so your insurance should be OK (I hope!) All this cos a load of teenagers can't keep it in their pants! >:(

TUI have just cancelled all holidays to Zakynthos. There were infections on other planes as well as the 2 UK planes. That seems sensible to me - the last thing TUI wants is the whole of Greece excluded.

There's a lot of pressure on the UK government for Scotland and Wales to remove Greece from the safe corridor list. If that happens then insurance will not be valid, unless (I believe) people are already there.

Apparently, people are giving false addresses on their arrival forms, making tracing impossible. The airlines all have this vital information, and I think it should be compulsory for them to release this data to the health authorities. Some may scream "invasion of privacy," but the virus has no respect for that.

66 people were fined on Corfu over the weekend for not wearing masks.

You must check your insurance policy, if the FCO advise against travel, your travel insurance will be null and void

Not my favourite person NS, but hopefully we don't have too many from Scotland on the forum as she seems to have an increasing majority of support ???

I think she's great. She was acting on advice from epidemiologists who were concerned about infection coming from abroad.

I feel sorry for the people of Scotland.  Sturgeon is only interested in one thing at any cost.
