Nafsika taverna!
Karen:
..Is opening tomorrow! Best food in the village, IMO!!
BAJ:
Any recommended dishes Karen? We will have dinner there one evening this year as we are that end of the village and we haven’t been for several years. I think we went in at a time that clashed with residents eating so we had a really long wait for our food and haven’t returned. Like everyone we have our favourites and don’t always have enough time to get around those. We were discussing it on our walk yesterday and there are places we have never even tried so we have vowed to add new places to us to our hit list each time we visit from now on.
This years new to do is Mistral and re-try Nafsika.
Karen:
Hello BAJ. Lamb kleftiko is my favourite.John likes most of the food there. He likes the village sausage or meatballs for starters. As Spiros knows, I am not a fish eater, apart from the fresh tuna, but I'm assured by other diners, that the fish dishes are very good. We don't eat until 10 pm, when it is cooler, so much less busier at that time.
We have tried other places, but always end up back there. It is nice and quiet , normally, at that time in the evening .
BAJ:
Kleftiko, one of Amanda’s favourites and I am a fish fan, so should be good. We eat at the opposite end of the sittings, quite early as Amanda and eating late don’t go together.
Jimbo:
Residents eat 7 to 9 - so about 8:30 is a good time to turn up. You may have hit Nafsika's difficult year, after total staff changes.
Fish is a speciality. I'm not a great fish eater, but what I've had has been great. Really it all depends upon the specials. If you're into wine, Spiros is an expert. And he tries to elevate Greek cuisine to fine dining when he can. Certainly among the best in the village.
