Our first time
(1/1)
djhopgrove:
This being our first time in San Stef, we had a very relaxing holiday.Staying at the Athina hotel half board, we didn't sample many other restaurants, although we did have a few nice coffee's after our morning walks to Arillas. We did hire a car for four days so had lunch all over Corfu, including a memorable one at the Lemon Garden, which was in or around Rhoda. We have stayed at Sidari before but found San Stef much nicer, and found all the staff at the Athina very friendly and obliging. The beach was really fantastic the first week of our stay, and then the storm arrived, oops! all change but it didn't spoil anything for us personally. We found the Athens bar great for our after dinner drink (especially if you like cocktails) and Hilary and her husband, the owners of Bar 38, to our surprise, come from our home town of York, where we have a mutual acquaintance. All in all, this is a great place to stay if you want a nice, relaxing holiday, with very friendly villagers. We will definately be back in the not too distant future to chill out once more!
