The Golden Beach at San Stefanos
« on: February 16, 2009, 05:25:17 AM »
Ok - new thread.
We think the beach at San Stefanos is one of the best anywhere, yes I know Caribbean Beaches can be prettier,
white sand and palm trees, but this beach must be one of the most informal, safe, clean beaches around.

So my question is - which part of the beach is your favourite - where do you plonk yourself and why???

We tend to go somewhere near the middle, in good reach of most facilities, but usually because we get our Beach Beds from a friend.

I beg to differ on your reply Jules. WE know that Roy is a regular visitor to the MUDDY END of the beach ::) ::) ::)

Also you have been known to stop for a chat with two elderly folk that park near the middle of the beach.
I wonder who that can be!!!!!!! xxxx

I notice that the Muddy end has less beach to walk on these days, I can remember walking hundreds of yards further on than it's now possible to do!!

Still - the view's much the same at that end!!
The aging Hippy population still lying there airing their wares!!

We love it NEAR the muddy end - we always walk nearly as far as the beds go before the nudist bit.  Quiet there and easy to spread out - that is what I love - the fact that you can spread out even in the height of season. Ah San Stef beach - how brilliant it is!

That is one of the endearing things about SS. Not to over populated and plenty of room for everyone. :)

The beach to us is a place for walking on. A rare paddle but much prefer the poolside! Not enamoured of sand or seaweed between the toes!

We only walk on the beach and stop and chat to anyone we know as well. The pool is definitley our favourite place for relaxing though. :)

The only bit I am not so keen on is the Mistral end, where Costas now has the beach beds.
Bit to much seaweed there and more crowded!!
Nothing like your own space and nothing like British beaches thank goodness!!
