Mozzies in May

(1/2) > >>

deemac:
Hi  all.
Has anyone any experience of the degree of the mozzie problem in early May. We arrive on 9th (much earlier than any previous visit) and are staying in Olga again. Can't wait, but like to be prepared. Have lots of experience of dealing with them, so don't need advice on that. I have read through other mozzie post, but it seems  to have degenerated into "friends dis-united" and has no info about early mozzies.
Thanks in advance
Deemac.

Last May, that week, we had no bothers with mozzies. Probably due to the cold weather!! Hope its better this year when we go on the 8th.

Terri:
We've been a few times at the end of May and although we haven't had problems with them, we've had to give away our bite cream before.  Maybe it all depends on whether they find you tasty or not!  ;)

CHRIS NO 2:
we went early may last year no probs at all nobody got bit at all and the weather was good as well

if you do get the odd bite the fireflys will more than make up for it

We went last two week of May - the weather turned and was quite hot - no bites on us or anyone we knew!
Saw a few about at night - no problems!!
It tends to get worse when the little river dries up and you then get pools of stagnant water - which Mozzies love!
The local council also tends to spray the area if they realise it's getting bad, which helps a lot.
