Are credits cards generally accepted?

Hi, Visiting San Stephanos for the first time at the end of May, can anyone tell me if credit cards are generally accepted in Tavernas and shops etc.
I have heard that the Tavernas are not keen on accepting cards.
Where can you obtain cash (Euro's)in this area.

You do see the signs for cards in most of the establishments so I would assume they would gladly accept them. Plenty of places to exchange travellers cheques and 1 cash machine in the village that was a bit hit and miss as to wether it had money in or was working at all.

Remember if using cards to pay for anything to make sure card is not taken away from you. I know in San Stefanos we trust them all but the banks recommend that you do not lose sight of your card.

Never a problem in the Hotels like Thomas Bay! The Cash machines also take them.
But it's best to take lots of cash so you can buy us all lots of drinks!! LOL
